Editorial policy and medical review standards

How we research, write, review and maintain our foot and ankle health content.

1. Sources we rely on

Our health content is based on reputable medical and government sources, including:

Each medical page lists its sources at the bottom.

2. Medical review

Our goal is for every condition and treatment page to be reviewed by a licensed Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) or other qualified clinician. Reviewers check that the content is accurate, reflects current clinical guidance, includes clear warning signs for when to seek care, and is free of promotional bias.

Pages show their review status at the top. A page marked "Medical review pending" has been researched and written by our editorial team but has not yet been clinically reviewed. When a page is reviewed, we show the reviewer's name, credentials and review date.

3. Updates and corrections

Every page shows the date it was last updated. We revisit medical pages at least once a year and whenever guidelines, Medicare rules or Florida regulations change. If you spot an error, please contact us; we review every correction request and fix confirmed errors promptly.

4. Independence and advertising

All Florida Podiatry may earn money from practice listings, patient-request referrals, sponsorships or advertising. These relationships never influence our health content. Paid or featured placements will always be clearly labeled, and we never accept payment to promote a treatment, publish reviews or change a clinical recommendation.

5. What we will never do
